bumper trim install? 200 89

How can I get the plastic (2in) trim above the bumper on? Is there a special method to getting it on?

I removed the front bumper, it went on fine. It clipped into place prefect. Then while putting the bumber on, it comes off. It was a bitch putting the bumper back on, it think it's bent (also has crack half way). Would not line up with the bolts. Once I finally put the bumper on, I gave up.

Part of the trim is suppose to slant over the bumper and I can't get the trim to slant while putting it on the clips.
