Faulty alternator 700 1986

The alternator on my 1986 740T (B230) appears to

be going South… Voltage gauge will after 15 minutes

of driving drop down into red. At this point the voltage

output measures 12.4 (Yes, I have my trusty voltmeter

with me) If I lightly tap the brush / regulator assembly

on the back of the alternator, it start to put out juice,

14.5 volts.

Who can tell me the part number for this assembly, and

its price. Thanks in advance.
