Just curious - anyone seen any crashed 544's? 444-544

I was looking at the construction of my 544 the other day and pondering what would happen in a bad front end collision. They designed these things back in 1944 when what happened when they crashed just wasn't part of the equation. It has those long spars that go straight as an arrow from the bumber to the firewall, and the steering column as well is a solid steel shaft going from the steering box (only a few inches back of the bumper) to the steering wheel. No crush zone at all. I was curious if anyone had seen a 544, perhaps in a junkyard, that had ben in a front end collision, and if so did the firewall/steering wheel get pushed back into the cabin?

Not worried, just curious
