Yes and No

The winter beater is a '78 244 DL. It's slower than molasses on a cold day. Cruising at anything above 50mph makes you feel guilty because of the high revs in 4th gear. No 5th!!!! Therefore highway driving means everyone passes you. It's also really ugly, burnt orange/brown colour. I've learnt how to stare straight into the eyes of scornful drivers who feel I've stolen a second from their day.

On the other hand our 745T is highly modified and is capable of destroying mustangs etc. B23FT,ported head, ported 91 exhaust manifold, ported and enlarged wastegate Mercedes turbine housing T3/T4 Ptrim compressor, mandrel bent 3 inch exhaust, electric fan, large dia hard pipe intercooler plumbing, large intake plumbing with cone filter, RR fuel press regulator, HKS EVC EZ boost controller, HKS bypass valve. At 3.5 lbs boost, our grocery getter is as strong as a stock 745T. Guess what happens at 15 lbs.

I make up for all the disrespect I get in the 244 DL.

I thoroughly enjoy both worlds and have a lot more respect for those who wish to drive slowly.
