Wheel refinishing 700 1990

Has anyone ever repainted their wheels or had them done? Or even powdercoated? I am considering refinishing my 16" alloys myself

and was wondering if anyone that has done it can give me some pointers.

I am thinking of having some urethane silver custom matched to the cap,

followed by urethane clear. Thanks.
