/// You have a vacumme fuel pressure regulator, right? Put a meter on the throttle body and check the vaccume at idle. If every thing is working correctly a vac leak will tell the engine (vac FPR) that the throttle plate is wide open and the car is flying down the highway at 80. When the car actually is flying down the highway at 80 not only is every thing working correctly but the vacumme is correct for the engine speed and the plugs don't even soot up.
I don't know where it is but you have a vac leak. It must be after the throttle plate. Look at the back side of hoses, where they attach to the barbs, for cracks and splits. Check the gasket to the head. Remember the bottom of that gasket is hard to check. Spraying carb cleaner won't help since you have too much fuel already. Try spraying water while watching the vac gauge. Don't forget the plug behind the head, (out of sight).
You can rig a stethoscope from a 3 foot length of straight grey polybutyl water supply line and a hand to ear length of soft vinyl. This keeps your head and the attached other ear out of the engine compartment and its noise. Listen for the leak.
