Electrical system gone to Heck 700 89

Hey guys,

here are the sympomts i'm really getting sick of it, tell me if you guys know what to look for. Ok first i get in the car and i put the key in it will turn over ONCE and then nothing, i have to turn the key to off and then try again. This will usually happend once or twice. Then once it cranks it will usually die. Then the next crank everything is ok. At this point my radio wants the code, and during the driving i've seen my headlights get dimmer, and when you apply the brakes the lights do a quick "flicker-brown0out" deal. Sometimes it cranks ok but mostly this happends, espcially if the car has been sitting gfor a few hours. I know this is a electrical problem but where do i start looking?
