clutch problems 1800 1967

Trying to get some help with my car. I recently purchased a '67 volvo 1800s. It was running fairly good for a car as old as it is. I anticipated some repair would be needed as I was looking for a good project car. I was able to drive it for a couple of days, then one morning I get into the car and there is no tension in the cluth pedel, it goes all the way to the floor. This is after it had been sitting in the garage for two days. I look under the hood and remove the cap from the master cylnder and its empty. I looked under the car to see if the fluid had leaked out and the floor is totally dry. I'm very confused, I've had other manual transmission cars before and never experienced something this bizzare. The clutch was fine and two days later its essentially not working. I'm leaning towards repacing the master and slave cylnder, but really appreciate any help with other possible problems. While I'm replacing the cylnders should I just go ahead and replace the clutch and transmission? I would have done it eventually anyway, just not right away. Also, I had a friend who had a '65 1800s in high school and he said that the overdrive is electric and sits on the dash. I have four on the floor but for the life of me cannot find the overdrive on the dash, I cant even find a spot where it would be assuming its just missing.
