Re: Intermittent Starting Problem 700 1990

These are all good possible solutions, but let's not forget the usual cause on bricks:

Fuel pump relay.

Its' the tall white one on the left side of the relay tray (behind the ashtray). Try hitting it with your finger while cranking. The solder joints crack over time, and if it starts, these joints can be easily resoldered, or a new relay will set you back 60 bucks or so.

If it is the rpm sensor, there will be a code in the obd. Check out the 700/900 faq for detailed code retrieval procedures.
