Re: Radiator hose replacements 900 94

Go ahead and replace the thermostat, and do a complete cooling system flush. The T-stat is only $10 or so. I am not sure if the 960 has this, but my wife's 95 945T has 2 small hoses that route coolant to the oil filter area. These hoses are prone to oil fouling, and if one lets go, the position of these hoses at the bottom of the engine would drain the cooling system pronto. I replaced these hoses last oil change (I used slight of hand to change them out without draining the coolant, only got a little wet with Dex-cool!).

BTW, my 91 940T has an actual oil cooler with metal pipes running from the oil filter housing, no hoses, no worry.

I plan to do the coolant warning thing next coolant change/flush cycle. Seems to be a GREAT idea.
