Yes you need to replace that asap, the little hose provides vacuum from the intake manifold, when idling. It reduces the pressure as the throtle is closed (the main hose gets it vaccum when the throtle is open, it has no vacuum when throtle is closed). When the throtle is open with the leak, the flame trap won't recyle the crank vapours and the engine will run poorer as it has a vacuum leak.

I don't think the leak will cause any seals to go bad. But just replace it soon.

Tip when removing hoses twist and pull, never pull on them directly.
