Can you identify what brand of struts a car has?

Recently, I have been haunting several local Auto Wreckers. Since I need to replace my front struts and have never done it before, I have been looking over the "dead bodies".

Being cheap, and finding several turbo 240's and a 242GT, the thought occured to me that one might have Bilsteins or something interesting in their strut tubes that might be worth pulling. However, I can not tell anything from the outside.

Does anybody know how to id what brand of struts a car has?

Thanks!
