oil warning light-oil quantity 200 85

Hi,

Does anyone know the exact quantity of oil lacking in the crankcase that would trigger the warning light? My light went on and I added only about 1/3 quart until the dipstick showed full. The light no longer goes on. I checked the inside of the valve cover with the cap off and the engine running and I saw a strong flow of oil flowing through the tappets, so the pump must be working fine.

My second question is about the type of oil. I initially had Total brand Quartz 5w-40 fully synthetic oil. The Total service station ran out of stock of quart sized containers of this oil so I decided to buy Mobil 1 5w-50, fully synthetic instead. Is it okay if I use this to top up?

Thanks.
