93 240, what's different? 200 1993

There are a few 1993 240 sedans for sale in my area. Highest mileage 134K, lowest 67K. Two of them are automatics, don't know about the other.

Could anyone tell me how many were made with slushboxes and how many with the M47? What is the mileage penalty with the auto?

I'd like to find one with leather, but I don't know if that was an option for 1993. Many of the late model 240s that I've seen have blue cloth (gross). All of my Volvos up to this point have had the "camel" interior, so I'm ready for a change, and the damn vinyl seats have always fallen apart.

I'm thinking that I'd have the ultimate tank with the airbag and ABS. Is any additional maintenance required for these systems? No stories of airbags going off spontaneously?

I'm assuming that the wire harness design and blower motor issues were resolved by the end of the series?

Anything else that I should be aware of would be great to know about...

Thanks again for the help!!

-Dave
