car now stalling when stopping at light or stop sign 700 89

I have driven this car for about 225 miles since getting it. Now the car is stalling whenever I stop it (like when coming off an interstate). I am assumming this is a vaccum problem, however could the transmission be related to this in any way? The hose to the brake booster is secured and tight.
