Power Seat Control 900 1991

Hi all,

I have a 1991 940SE Wagon. It has the "older" power seat contol WITHOUT the memory buttons. If I bought the switch control unit with the newer memory buttons would it work on my car?? Does anyone know if the "brains" for the memory functions are embedded in the switch contol unit or is their more electronics that this unit connects to? The Volvo part number for the unit I'm looking at is 3539001-2. I'd really love to convert the driver seat to the memory unit so it would be easier to switch the seat positions between my wife and I.
