Warm Weather Woes - Want to drive the Brick into a BRICK WALL 200 '90

This seems to be a common problem in the posts, so why is it so hard to figure out? Runs GREAT in the winter. Warm weather comes and it will not stay running after a short trip somewhere and temp gauge has the slightest indication of anything other than stone cold. Cranks and starts fine, but will not stay running unless hold foot on gas for a couple minutes before taking off. First thing in morning, NO PROBLEM. Get to office, come back out in 20 minutes, FRICKIN' car won't stay running unless do the one foot on each pedal thing, always giving it a little gas. Once going again, runs great til I stop, go in, come out, try to go..... VERY ANNOYING as I make many shorts trips in a day to customer accounts. Maybe move to ALASKA and I'll hit 300K with no problems!!!!!! I'm going to go beat it with a baseball bat.... please help....
