is rocker panel rust a deterent to fixing up a gt?? 200 78gt

i just got a 78gt a couple weeks ago for 100.00. it has sat for a few years so along with fuel problems i have rust in both rocker panels and around the wheel arches. i need opinions on if it is worth the repair or if it is too expensive to fix. i dont have any body work experience so a body shop would have to do it. thanks will
