instrument panel dead 200 1989

Removed the instrument panel to repair dead odometer.Labeled wires to ensure correct replacement. Found the gear with missing teeth and relaced with one from a donor from local pick&pull. After cleaning connections and resoldering temp compensation board and replacing several missing screws including all four that hold speedometer in place, put it back together. Now tach does not work. Overdrive light comes on but will go out if button is pushed. And no other lights come on in run position. I noticed that there is a single female connector on back of board without a wire conneted. It is towards lower left above the oil light. Is somethimg supposed to go here. I didn't remove a wire from that connection and don't see any loose wires that could go there. Any ideas? Thought I was as careful as posible to make sure everything went back together as original. I seem to remember a similar message several months ago but was unable to find it in archives.
