Dead, no spark, no juice at coil. Died on road. 200 1976

Running at highway speed when the engine burps (Like ignition on-and off.), catches again for just a second and then totally dead. I pulled off and when I tried the starter there wasno sign of ignition at all.

Towed home. When cranked over no spark at plugs or coil. Test to ground indicates no juice at positive side of coil with ignition switch on.

The wiring diagram in my old Haynes impossible for me to read.

Scanned it and blew it up. Now legible, still no damn help.

Any ideas from the resident Volvo Gods?

I have an '80 240 sedan parts car but no clue what if anything would help me there.

I'm a hundred miles from Seattle and bussing back tools etc. tomorrow.

Thanks,

Lance, who is now afoot
