Let's play 'What's that sound Dude?'... 200 85

I have an intermittent sound coming from the drivetrain of my 245 when I take off from a stop in 1st. Seems to be totally random, but it's real nasty when the car is first driven in the morning. Sometimes this is accompanied by a lurching and loud clunk from the rear as she starts accelerating.

Clutch is 2 years old. Rear main is good. U-joints confirmed good, lubed, and re-installed. Driveshaft is aligned properly. The sounds is a high-pitched screech. Carrier bearing and all of that rot was replaced at same time as the clutch.

Any other ideas from the gurus?

Thanks in advance...
