Wont start! 200 1989

Hello!

I have a 1989 240DL one day it would not start! It acted like it was getting no fuel. I read in the Chiltons that I should try jumpering fuses 4 and 6 to test the Fuel pump relay...That worked!..So I went to the local Volvo dealer and bought a new relay. That did not work...It will still not start unless I jumper the fuses??

The method I used to jumper was from the Hayes Automotive Repair Manual for 1976-1993 models

Page 4A-4 and 6

Test the fuel pump by installing a jumper on the left side of the fuse panel on fuses 4 and 6. you should then hear a "wirring" noise. this will confirm the pump is good. There are two fuses 4 and 6 also check them.

Anyone else have any ideas???

I did check on the relay on post 82/2 I am not getting any voltage??

Fuse is good? Anywhere else to check?

Thanks!!
