What year to look for when buying a 240 200

I am the proud owner of a 1974 144 with 139000 miles on it. Well i love old Nelly and all, but,its time to upgrade to a 240, and most likly a wagon with the third seat. Hears my ????'s What year, engine, model is the best for a 240 wagon? did they ever turbo a 245? what year did they start offering the third seat, and if i find a wagon without the third seat can I add one later? what are areas to be aware of on the 240's that one should walk away from? how easy are the 240's to lower about 3 inches? any and all advice will be welcomed!
