"Short shift" overdrive into 142 140-160 68

Has anyone had any experience in swapping one of the "short shifter" tranny's into a 140? I saw a couple of 140's at the ipd garage sale with this conversion, and I am purchasing an M410 this weekend to put in my '68 at some point in the near future. I know a front drive shaft from an o.d. car, or an auto has to be used, and obviously a hole will have to be cut for the shifter, but any tips on wiring the o.d., or which driveshafts have the same type of u-joints would be appreciated. I'm pretty excited about this, as my 60 MPH cruising RPM will drop from 3400 to about 2750! Not to mention the relocated shifter is a heck of a lot more fun to drive. Thanks in advance to those with more experience than I!
