rescue my car from me! 200 79

If I cant figure out a solution soon Im going to rip the engine out and drop in a V8. :-)

I am trying to figure out what is wrong with my engine it is a b21e. Originally it was having problems, ie hesitation and bucking in hot weather and low fuel levels - classic symptoms of in-tank pump problems. Easy fixed I think, I replaced the in tank pump and instead of repairing the problem it now hesitates and bucks regardless of fuel levels or temperature, and probably worse than before. There is also a whining noise that comes with the problem . I thought it was the main pump, but it distinctly sounds like it coming from the engine bay and not the pump. This has me puzzled as to what else could be making the whining noise and causing the trouble.
