Radiator Cleaning 200 1989

My 244 is running great after a tune up. I was wondering about doing some preventive maintenence on my radiator. It is extremely dirty w/ bugs and such. I've heard you can take compressed air and blow it out from the back. I have no access to a air blower, but I have access to a high pressure water sprayer down at the local doiturself car wash. Is it ok to do this w/ water instead of air? I imagine it won't make a difference, but I'm just checking.
