240 stalls 200 1988

Dear All,

My beloved brick is playing tricks on me and this time I am not able to figure it out myself:

I own a 1988 240 station, Canadian model with Bosch LH 2.2 fuel injection.

This is what happens: care starts fine, idles, drives and revs beautifully when COLD. After a 30 minute drive car begins to stall and engine can only kept running by playing the throttle; black smoke, no more than 2000 revs. But loose complete power and have to pull over the car. Ignition seems fine.

What can I look for?

Thanks for your advice,

Joost Lomans
