I think as long as you've got at least the minimum 28 lb, all the rest is matter of your tires, how you drive and what kind of ride you like. Higher pressures absorb slightly less of bumps, have less rolling friction, and feel better to me. Try some changes and see if you prefer one over the other.

I drive enthusiasticly, and keep 35 lb all around in my '88 760Ti.
