allright, it has arrived, your chance for power.
ANyone with an 8 valve 2.1 or 2.3 litre volvo 240 or 740, ie. b21, b23, b230, gas engines, i have a camshaft for u.
The price to buy a "vx" camshaft is outrageous, i have one for u that is very similiar, this one just has a little more upper end power than the vx and consequentially a little less low end, you don't get one without the other.
This is one was on only a few volvos made, very rare, and is THE best one made by volvo for the volvo 240 (but it also fits in a 740 with 8 valves of course!).
So if you are looking for power, this one is the one that was used on a stock volvo 2.3L with 136 horsepower.
If you only have 110 HP on your USA b23 engine, or 105 on your b21, the camshaft is a big factor in it being that low, also the head, but thats about it really. The head and the camshaft...if you change the camshaft, your adding a huge chunk of performace, the head makes a little difference, and taking some lambada off will help too, but the cam is the major chunk!
