Clock not keeping time 700 86

I noticed the clock in the instrument cluster on the 740 gle we just bought doesn't keep time accurately. The hands move, but not correctly. Can anyone suggest how I can fix this myself, or if a junk yard clock would work (like it wouldn't if it's not the clock itself that is broken). I've taken the instrument cluster out to inspect it- I'm afraid to go ahead and try to take the clock out because of all the electronics, I don't want to break anything if it's not actually the clock that's broken. Could it be the power source that's not working? Where does the clock get it's power?

Thanks
