will a b23 cam work in a b230f???? (god i hope so) 700 1988

Hey all,

I might have the opportunity to purchase a used Stage 4, K grind cam.....what i'd like to know, is, how well would this work in an otherwise unmodded b230f....NA of course....the overlap would kill a turbo... If it would fit, and work, would i need adjustable cam gear? (or would that be an option?), what sorta benefit would i get? How much low down would i lose? (guessing lots!) I am going to do the "airbox" mod, but other than that, i've only got a 2.5 inch one muffler system, original clutch(....) and the car has done 200,000k's, so i spose a shim kit for valves would be a good idea? Car doesn't blow any smoke or use any oil, except for a small leak from the distributor...(aren't they designed to do that from the factory?! haha)....If the cam does work and everything, how much american (or if someone else in australia has one) dollars are they worth? how much are cams worth?

Thanks all for the help,

Aaron
