Transmission Lurch 900 96

We have a 1996 960 wagon with about 78K miles on it. When going uphill at approx. 40-45mph, I am feeling a decided lurch or shuddering. The engine is turning at approx. 1600-1700 rpm, so it must be in 4th gear. Based upon the FAQ's, I am thinking that I probably need to flush and change the A/T fluid, since I don't believe that it has been done. I am assuming that I can follow the 960/90 Fluid Flush instructions from Mike Hale that is in the archives. Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance.
