Re: How to read error codes? 200 1992

On my 89 244 (b230), the code reader is behind the right strut tower if you are facing the engine from the front. Take the little plug thingy out of the cover. Take the cover off. Stick the little plug thingy into the hole labeled #2. Turn the ignition all the way on(but don't crank it up). Press the little black button for 2 seconds. A red light should be on while u hold it down. When you release the button, codes will flash. Example of 1-1-2, the light would flash once, pause, flash once again, and then flash 2 times sucessively. If you have other codes, they will flash sucessively. You also need to stick the plug thingy in socket # 6. Write all of the codes down and then post them here.

If you need help, post and I will try to help you out.
