Which pre-pump? 200 84

On the '84 244GL....

I read there were two different pumps used that year. The early one is P/N 1276330 and came on cars with chassis numbers up to number 990337.

The later pump is P/N 3507436 on cars with chassis #'s beginning with 990338

However, Volvo also re-started the chassis numbering back to "0" after they producted the one millionth car.

my chassis is 063626. Looks like it needs an early pre-pump.

1) Is there any chance my car could be # 1,063626 for which it needs the later pump?

2) I'd like to buy the later pump (it is shorter, I understand) What modifications will I need to make to get it to fit?
