AMM Update - Replace or Live with it? 200 1989

I posted a message about a week or two ago concerning my AMM. Specifically, when I start it after it sits for hours, it will idle for a second or two and then stall out. It takes about 3 starts to get it going, and then it's fine for the rest of the day (until it sits again).

This morning, I disconnected the AMM. It started right up, with no signs of wanting to stall. I put my automatic into Reverse, and again, no signs of stalling like it usually does when it sits.

It doesn't stall at lights, and its initially fine once it gets going. My question, should I live with it or replace it? My mechanic quoted me $188 for a new Bosch one, if I remember correctly - that's his price. So, I may be looking at around $215-$225?

Will it get much worse off if I leave it? Or is that too hard to tell?

Thanks!

Eric
