changed tranny oil pan gasket - still leaking 200 83

Well,

After 8 hours of labor on Saturday (the two trips out for more tools and parts killed the time), it appeared sweet success was in my grasp. We replaced the AW-70 transmission oil pan gasket with the IPD gasket (seemed much nicer than the cork one I peeled off the pan). After 8 hours under the rustbucket, bathing in ATF and rust flakes, it appeared the leak was gone. We test drove the car again, left it in the driveway, no leaks. No leaks on Sunday. Monday I scrubbed the driveway to remove the ATF blood stain and placate my wife. No leaks.

I drove the car yesterday (Tuesday) pretty hard. After parking it, the tranny began to drip again. AAGGHHH. I am very frustrated. I want to put it on the ramps and torque the crap out of the pan bolts.

Any ideas besides TNT? I used the IPD gasket. We really cleaned the pan pretty well. It seemed straight. the holes didn't look bad. I used the loctite spray gasket sealer on the pan flange, and the gasket (both sides).

stupid rustbucket.
