Personally I never bother changing my pads without having the disks turned as well. Around here that's $15 a pair and pads and rotors last longer brake better. Also, your note doesn't make it clear if the noise is only from the front, obvioisly if the back pads are finished change them too.

If the noise comes from the front and is not pad releted I would take a look at the bearings (adjustment, grease, races if there was no grease)
