Service Lite/AMM Adjustment 700 87

Have a queation about two things that could or not be related. My 87 B230Ft Wagon has had what I felt was a lean spot at about 1/4 throttle. I went thru the curb idle set up a while back after removing the throttle body and cleaning it (took off the switch before) When I hooked up my home made C02 reader (off MVP site) I found the AMM pot was out of adjustment (lean side) I re-adjusted it and the car seemed to run better for a couple of days than seemed to go back to acting lean in low to mid range. Mean while on a trip to Tampa the service lite came on after restarting at a gas station. It stays on for 3-4 min and goes out (hot or cold) I also checked the C02 again to nite and it was off to the lean side again. The car gets 20MPG in towm and 26 on the road at 70, but I am begining to wonder if somethig is getting ready to suprise me.

Thanks, Lewis
