Re: Volvo 240 won't start 200 1991

Greg, don't know much about the 91...but on my 86 there is a fuseholder on the drivers side fender under the hood. The fuseholder and the fuse had a major meltdown due to corrosion over time. It is a 25 amp fuse. This is the main fuse for the fuel pump system. Its real easy to find and simple to check...could just be a blown fuse. In my case I had to replace the fuse holder (made out of a white composite material, right near the coil)

Cost of the part from the dealer was a little over $5.00. I asked the parts guy if this part commonly failed and his response was "I have 21 of em' in stock" so that will tell you something right there. Keep in mind that there are other fuses inside the fuseblock (in the kickpanel on the drivers side) that also relate to the fuel pumps, check those too. Hopefully something simple and cheap to fix. Thats what we all hope to hear when we post with our problems.

Good luck...

Jack W.
