Advice on some poor cold running repairs 200 86

Hello all-

Thanks for everyone's wonderful input. This is a very educational forum. Have and '86 245 that fires right up abut immediatley dies. With a little foot on the gas it keeps running. If you try to drive it before it warms up, it bucks in 1st and 2nd gear. Here's what I'm going to do:

Replace the engine coolant temp sensor

Replace rubber injector seals

Replace the crumbled pre-heat hose.

I have a couple of questions.

1. I've been reading the Haynes and Bentley. How much coolant can I expect to spill when swapping the ECT sensor? Anyone have any tricks. I don't want to drain the coolant just for this. Could I somehow place a cup to catch spills?

2. The injectors look pretty easy to remove. Are the rubber seals on the injectors or do they stay on the manifold? Any suggestions for this repair?

Thanks for all your help!!
