SRS idiot light 900 1993

hello all...my wife just called to tell me "SRS" dash light is illuminated???...what is most likely cause???...bag (no, not my wife!!!!) did not activate or anything of that sort....do i need to take to dealer asap or can it wait????...thanxxx for help....
