Clutch cable adjustment? Which way?? 200 '86

Hello-

Have an '86 245. The clutch is getting harder to engage. I have to let farther up off of the clutch for it to catch now. I don't think that the clutch is bad. It's not slipping. Just takes longer for it to catch. I saw in Bentley that I can adjust the clutch cable for this problem.

I think I can access the adjustment bracket by driving it up on ramps. Which way to I adjust the nut? Do I loosen it or tighten it so that it engages sooner? Bentley makes it seem pretty easy. Just loosen or tighten the adjustment nut. Thanks abunch!
