Electrical seats 700 88

I am having problems with the electronic seats in my 780 - in fact both do not work in any direction. The fuse is OK and there is current to the seats. I have separatly tested the little motors by direct current and they work. The Hayes 740/760 maual only briefly mentions electronic seats, but I noticed that there is a relay involved. Are these relays shaped as flat black boxes about the size of a pack of cards underneath the seat? Is this the likely problem?
