major oil leakage. 200 1982

My 242 just recently developed a major oil leak. the car went from leaking no oil, to losing a quart/mile. so I put it in the garage last night and looked down in there to see what was up.

it appeared that the oil filter wasn't on right and it was leaking there, so I took off the old one and put on another. that didn't solve my problem.

it is leaking on the same side as the oil filter, but I can't tell where.. I couldn't see in well enough.. It's dripping down onto the front control arm and then onto the ground.. also dripping on the steering rack in one place..

I can't tell if its the oil drainpan gasket or what..

And am curious of all the places I should check to see if there are leaks.

There is no oil getting on the timing belt and I can't tell if the oil on the back part of that side of the engine is just blown there from the engine fan or what..

So, just curious where all I can look to find the leak.

Thanks.

Also, thanks for that link to the cheap bushing removal tool.. I shall attempt to build one this weekend.
