Sunroof repair questions 700 1987

Before I break the bank on getting my sunroof fixed in my 1987, 760 wagon, I wondered if anyone had any wisdom to offer.

Apparently the sunroof tracks need to be replaced at a cost of at least $325, maybe more. I've already put $100 into a motor...

The problem is that now the back won't rise and meet flush with the roof anymore. So I'm stuck with a badly leaking sunroof.

Is there anyway for me to get the back to go back up (it did before I took it in the garage for repairs...who knows what broke when they were diagnosing it).

I'd just as soon leave the whole thing be for now if I could but with the leaking I think I'm screwed.

Anyone had to replace the entire sunroof tracks before?
