Leaky Sunroof 200 1976

Hello fellow brick lovers. I was wondering what is the proper tool or solvent to remove my worn front and rear seal on my 76' 242 manual sunroof? Also what type of adhesive should I use when putting on the new seals? Any tips or tricks welcome. The remove process in the manual looks simple enough so I was wondering why most shops I phoned said it would be a minumum of $240 just to remove the sunroof and approx. $100 for the seals just to get started. Thanks in advance.
