And noisy 1991 940 rear end - problem or not? 900 1991

As I already mentioned I had my new 1991 940 2.3i GL checked over by an

independent Volvo shop yesterday. They also found that the rear end is noisy.

Obviously the car is not quite as tight as a new one (it does have 160,000

km=100,000 miles), but it doesn't sound worrying to me.

The car being under warranty from the garage who sold it to me I'm not

concerned about costs here but I am wondering. Are they being picky for my

benefit, or does the car have a real problem?

Would the rear end go bad? Lock up? And how do you repair a noisy rear end?

Thanks for all you comments and help,

Rob
