Re: Where are all the 79 - 245's? 200 1979

Nothing specific about this year and model that I know of. Mine has been exceptionally reliable but it has low mileage (182,000kilometers/112,840miles). Grandma's old car that never got driven! Some of the rubber parts like hoses, motor mounts and bushings are starting to deteriorate and need replacing. I heard the glove box for this year falls apart-Mine has. The spring mechanism is busted so its difficult to open. The glove box and under the dash covers are made of some kind of flimsy cardboard-like material. I've got my eye on a better quality set at the wreckers. They were made better on earlier models (I think)or maybe it was the later models. Anyway I have not seen much posted on the board or archives for these older late 70's Volvo's and I know there are still lots of them on the road.
