You are correct. On the earlier 700 models you can install a front passenger side lock motor on the drivers door for this function, but I have no first hand experience on your model of 900. The lock motor and hardware is built to be installed on either side for left hand or right hand drive. Your central locking relay is operated by grounding either the locking or unlocking wire by (the door switch does this with a few electronics). You can use the leads to the door switch to operate your new lock motor, and your new remote control relay will operate the central locking relay by grounding the two leads you just cut to operate the new locking motor.
