Re: Putting keyless entry in wifemobile... 900 1994

I have done it, but am waiting to get a 'kit' from Volvo for the driver side door. This is a VDO driven bunch vs the Bosch on 89 and earlier. What I did was find a donor motor, remove the driver side switch, crack both cases open----cases look the same. Note on the bottom is a place where the wires come out---room for 5. You can combine both the switch and lock into one case as I did and re assemble. Problem I had is the case was weakened so I had to reinforce it with a metal U bracket I made up.

Used my trusty Dremel to follow the seal on the cases for opening. The entire lock has to be removed from the door to work on this baby, but it isnt bad.

Will report in when I get my 'kit'. I am using an aftermarket trigger system and it is fine----a little insensitive---going to have to do the antenna thing you described in the past.

Hope this helps,

dick
